Personally I don't believe it. This is one of those guys that loves to get reactions.

I wouldn't buy that for a minute....they just gave him a contract extension that is well over what anyone else would pay anyway for an average QB. There's no way that they're going to try and build around Tebow immediately but then again....they do have Tony Sparano and his "anti-scoring" offensive philosophy.

I feel your pain there brother and I really hope you keep Sanchez. I'm personally terrified of Tebowmania and I really don't want to face a Wildcat-like offense twice a year with the golden boy under center. If you guys want to start him for the other 14 games throughout the season though, then I'm all for it and I'll even cheer them on.

Hi Arizona!
Might just be a Jet hater saying that (and emphasizing no interest for him). It really doesn't make sense if they just extended him. I hope he stays where he is (snicker).

I don't claim to be a salary cap expert but from what I have seen his contract is fairly cap freindly for a QB. It was the bonus that was silly. Also not a contract that was to different than his rookie contract just rearranged for more cap room.

End of the day I think this is just BS. His value in trade has to be pretty low and for as much glam as Tebow gets I still think Mark is a better QB. It would be nice to take the leadership and "winner" out of Tebow and give it to Mark.

I thought "leadership / winner" were the qualities Sanchez was known for.

Ummm not in my eyes..... Unless I have my green glasses on anyway. I may be a Jet fan but I am more of a realist. He may become that but I dont see it as a natrual thing for him. Hence the whole Holmes thing

He'll never live up to his billing. Lacks mental toughness, field vision, arm. The offensive design last year said a lot about him.

OK....once again at the risk of being called a whacko ..(what is new....) touting the #4 QB......but.....the guy in green that scares me the most over the long term is Greg McElroy...........if he gets an opportunity he might not come off the field for 10-12 years.........tough kid mentally and physically, good enough arm, great timing and anticipation, fantastic field vision and tough as a pineknot. showed great in Preseason. Opportunity might be all he is missing,,,IMHO he is the scariest #3 QB out there from an opponent.

Your not alone in that thought process. Many Jet fans are quietly excited about him. Other than the nice preseason last year I don't know much about him. I really don't follow college ball. Many thought he would be the one to push Sanchez this year until the Tebow trade.

I dont think he has much trade value as a starter. I think Sanchez is a top tiered backup.

I hope the Jets keep him as I dont think he is a very good QB. I think he's a Chad Henne OK type guy, but he wont take you to the next level.

But if the Jets do trade him, then that makes Tebow the starting QB. Im not sure what makes me smile more, Tebow or Sanchez.

Tebow is stronger, but Sanchez can complete 10 passes in a game. As a Miami fan, its a win-win. But as a objective football fan, Id want Sanchez to start over Tebow because Tebow cant throw the football.
