Aside from most of those already mentioned, because theyre all fantastic, allow me to go a little more modern here...

Mark Tremonti... of Alter Bridge, his solo's are fantastic in their music.

and...

Jeff Martin... of The Tea Party. Not only is the man great on guitar, he's also talented enough to play multiple stringed and percussion instruments from around the world. Not just play them, but actually write and create music using them as well. Quite the talented man, not just him, the whole band was really.

I didn't list Tremonti as not to be greedy with naming. I got the Live in Amsterdam CD/DVD the was worth the cost. It is hard to get but I got it at Amazon. It is great stuff! i really enjoy the band. I think Myles Kennedy is a lot better then Scott Stapp.

You think it was hard for you to get? Trying living in Canada and trying to get it! I managed to get a copy though, had to pay through the nose to end up ordering it from Amazon.com. The canadian version of the site didnt have it in stock, and said 6-8 weeks order time. I haven't even watch all of it yet unfortunately. I've seen them live twice though, and they are incredible. Hung out with them for a bit after one show, theyre incredibly nice guys too. And yeah, Myles is years beyond anything Stapp could do, lyrically ,vocally and on guitar as well.

Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Vaughn, Duane Allman, Slash, and the dead man - Keith Richards.

Also
Leo Kotke, Paul Simon, Andres Segovia, Santana, Malmsteen, McLaughlin, and a few others...

I even like Flatt, from Flatt & Scruggs...

Im a pretty big fan of Brad Paisley, who is probably one of very few artists who plays all the guitar parts on his albums rather than using studio musicians.
