Just found this on another site.
He was one of my favorites as a child.
May he rest in peace.

Thanks Mike. I actually did it!

Yes, Davy Crockett was my favorite character of his. I watched him on Disney's Sunday night shows.
I always loved the ones with indians in them, not so much the ones he did with that old guy that had a boat of some kind.

My all time favorite is The Rifleman. I still watch it every day from 5 to 6. Even have my oldest grandgirl liking it. Johnny Crawford was MY teen idol. How I swooned over that boy. Now he's 63 years old.
Those were the days with good shows on.

i was kinda surprised, my oldest granddaughter loves Bonanza. we have to put the TV on the oldies channel whenever she comes over. if they are running a bonanza marathon, she'll sit on the couch all day and won't even go utside. if the show is running on TVLand, we have to record it so she can watch it later. i think she has a crush on little joe, can't bring myself to tell her he's dead.

I know what you mean. Johnny Crawford (Mark McCain) was my first love.
The girls can't believe he's 64 yrs. old now. He still sings etc. He has a dance band. He does all the swing music. I still have his albums and 45 records that he made back in the day. LOL

Wow, a blast from the past. And for 06, if indeed your Grand daughter has a crush on little Joe, who could blame her. Michael Landon was one of the best people god ever put on this planet.

I honestly didnt know he was on of the original co-owners, and yeah, DT was an absolute class act.

How interesting Larry.. he generally gets no credit for all he did helping us to get the franchise. If you go watch the 1966 highlight film at MD dot com they show Danny standing just outside the tunnel.
